Advanced Sportboat Course

Master your boat handling under sail! You know the basics; let's work on finesse -- without an engine!

The Advanced Sportboat Course is for qualified sailors to stretch and expand their boat handling skills to meet and manage unexpected challenges and to lay the foundation for competitive and high-performance sailing.  A major element of this clinic is that we do not use the engine; we challenge students to operate and control the boat safely, elegantly, and confidently in difficult situations under sail.  We will practice blindfolded sailing, slalom courses, sailing backwards, anchoring under sail, and docking under sail!  Successful completion of the course will give students a US Sailing Performance Endorsement. 

Prequisites:  Eligibility to charter Sportboats under 30ft and an additional 6 on the water days.
